Take part in the charity initiative proposed by Fundació FC Barcelona, MACSY, FCB Escola and Associazione Papa Giovanni XXIII! It will be an occasion to share important values such as selflessness and generosity, because our Camps are much more than just a Football School. We want to grow together, play, have fun, improve as well as trying to make other kids happy in a simple way: gift them with the football boots you don’t use anymore!
The staff at MACSY, Fundaciò FC Barcelona, FCB Escola and the Partners supporting us ask all Italian children and youngsters to donate the football boots they don’t use anymore. This can be done through Associazione Papa Giovanni XXIII, the non-profit association involved in this project to help unwealthy children from emergent Countries.
Everyone: Camp participants, their families, friends, team members, instructors, teachers, Sport Associations, volontary workers, Fundaciò FC Barcelona, MACSY, FCB Escola, Associazione Papa Giovanni XXIII.
To collect 1,000 pairs of football boots in good conditions: a high but reachable number, because we believe that giving less fortunate children the opportunity to smile and play is a right for them and a duty we cannot ignore.
Because shoes go together with every child’s growth, through play; because shoes move towards someone or something; because shoes carry their old and new wearer’s story; because giving your own shoes is a simple but great act of friendship.
MACSY staff will be in charge of shoe collection:
Football boots will need to be put in the official bag provided by organisers, on which children will write their shoe size and personal details, so the new shoe owners will know their friend’s name and the message they left them. We want to create contact and a link between the shoe donor and receiver.
The shoes collected in 2016 will be brought to Zambia, more precisely in the football school of Ciceketelo, a reality, offering aid to street children. Ciceketelo proposes an efficient model of intervention that want to combat the problem of street children, based on a program of long-term support and a method of co-education with families, accompanying the child on its way to become Men and Women. Throughout this football school, these guys grow thanks to the values conveyed by the greatest game in the world: soccer!
